SENSEI TIM PHARRIS / ROKUDAN – 6th DEGREE BLACK BELT

TENNESSEE POLICE & FIRE GAMES GOLD MEDALIST – KARATE

 

Born in 1956, Sensei Pharris began his karate training at Bushido Dojo in 1993.Sensei Pharris was tested and promoted to Sho-Dan in 1999.His promotion ceremony was in the presence of Sensei Cecil Patterson. Sensei Pharris is a frequent and successful competitor in the Tennessee Police and Fire Games and the U.S.E.W.F. tournament.

Sensei Pharris retired from the Nashville Fire Department as a Paramedic and Instructor including service as one of the original S.W.A.T. Paramedics for the Metro Nashville Police Department.He has served for several years and a patrol deputy for the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office.He is certified in numerous defensive tactics systems including Krav Maga and an adjunct faculty member at Volunteer State Community College.

 

Sensei Pharris is a consistently successful competitor at the annual Federation tournament, the Tennessee Police and Fire Games, and Sensei Dale Kirby's Annual Tournament.

He is a long time Instructor at Bushido Dojo Joelton and his promotion to ROKUDAN (6TH DEGREE) Black Belt effective 9/11/21 by Sensei Melvin S Brown Jr was approved by the UNITED STATES EASTERN WADO RYU KARATE FEDERATION & INTERNATIONAL WADO RYU KARATE DO RENMEI.
