SENSEI BRANDI PHARRIS / YON-DAN – 4th DEGREE BLACK BELT
Sensei Brandi Pharris began karate training in 1999 in our original Madison location. In 2002, she was recognized as one of Bushido’s most promising students, and was promoted to the rank of Sho Dan, or, 1st Degree Black Belt.
Over the years, she has proven herself to be a focused and driven student, as well as a successful tournament competitor in both kata and kumite. Along with Sensei Ford, her work with her husband, Sensei Tim Pharris, in Nashville’s first after-school karate program at Dan Mills Elementary School, showed a keen understanding and grasp of the importance of being a martial arts instructor for the youth of today.
In September 2014 was promoted to San Dan, and with Sensei Pharris, continues exploring the bunkai of kata, and studying the history and traditionalism of Wado Ryu.
